CARE (Consumers Affordable Resource for Energy) is an affordable payment plan for qualified Consumers Energy customers. It provides an affordable monthly energy bill and forgiveness of a past-due balance to reward on-time payments.

What are the benefits of CARE enrollment? A monthly bill credit on energy charges, gradual forgiveness of a past due balance and the opportunity to receive energy saving services, including a home visit by an energy expert, free of charge.

LSP (Low Income Self-Sufficiency Plan) is an affordable payment plan for qualified DTE Energy customers. It assists low-income qualified customers to have a regular and affordable monthly payment on their energy bill.

What are the benefits of LSP enrollment? Low affordable payments, account is safe from shutoff, program will pay the difference between plan amount and current energy charges, program pays up to $3,000 towards energy bill, arrearage is reduced with every 3 customer payments, and late program charges are not applied while on the program.
